Max Victor Alper received his Ph.D. from New York University, where he later served as a faculty member and administrator. His fine art photographs have been shown in over 180 gallery and museum exhibitions in the United States and Europe. In addition to numerous articles and reviews, he has written two books about American history and culture. In 2026, his two new books--A Nation's Birth and A Nation's Heritage--about the American Revolution and historic sites were published. Alper has been an author / editor of Arts Magazine and has worked in major New York City art galleries. He has been awarded a Residency at the prestigious American Academy in Rome. He also has written and narrated a radio series for WGBH-Boston. Alper divides his time between New York City and Pennsylvania.
