Herkert, Barbara: - Barbara Herkert has a undergraduate degree in biology from UC Santa Barbara and an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hamline University. She is the author of two nonfiction picture books and three picture book biographies. Her informational picture book entitled This Old Madrone Tree, was released in September of 2023. Barbara currently lives on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington with her family, two dogs, and a variety of wildlife, including a nearby heronry.
Wright, Gordy: -

Gordy Wright is an illustrator from the UK. He studied illustration in Bristol at the University of the West of England graduating with a first class degree. He works on a variety of publishing and editorial projects which he enjoys weaving narratives throughout. His illustrations are painted by hand in gouache, acrylic and inks and are then scanned in and put together digitally. He now lives in Scotland where he works from his studio in Glasgow.
